How MaxVFY works

Verification, facilitated in three simple steps.

MaxVFY coordinates the request and record while the person being verified completes the secure third-party hosted flow: government-issued ID verification, passive liveness, face-to-ID matching, and device/network risk analysis.

Scan your supported ID, complete a quick selfie/liveness check, and receive a clear verification result. Verify yourself or request verification from another adult.

Choose your path

Verify yourself—or request verification.

MaxVFY keeps both workflows straightforward by handling the request, invitation, status, and record around the provider-performed identity check.

For individuals

Verify yourself

Complete your own identity check and receive your MaxVFY result.

  1. Create your account.
  2. Complete the secure identity check.
  3. View your result and, when eligible, choose whether to share it.

For business-requested verifications: the name on the request must match the name on the ID, and the live face must match the ID photo.
What I’ll Need
Understanding the result

Know what VERIFIED means.

Identity confirmation gives you one verified fact. It does not make the broader decision for you.

VERIFIED tells you

  • The person successfully completed the identity-verification process associated with that MaxVFY record.
  • MaxVFY recorded the result and completion time.

VERIFIED does not mean

  • The person passed a background check.
  • The person is honest, financially reliable, or guaranteed to complete a transaction safely.
Privacy by design

Your ID is not handed to the requester.

The underlying identity check is performed by the verification provider. MaxVFY facilitates the workflow and records the result; the requester receives that result rather than a copy of the recipient’s identity document through MaxVFY.

Common questions

The essentials before you begin.

How long does verification take?

Many people can complete the on-screen steps in one session. Additional review or another attempt may sometimes be required.

What do I need?

Have a supported government-issued identity document and a phone or computer with a working camera available.

Does the requester receive my ID?

No. The requester receives the MaxVFY verification result rather than a copy of your identity document through MaxVFY.

Can someone verify me without my participation?

No. You must review the request, provide the required confirmations, and complete the identity check yourself.

Ready when you are

Choose how you want to verify.
