Terms of Service
Effective: August 28, 2026
MaxVFY provides verification-facilitation and recordkeeping tools that let adults arrange their own third-party identity check or request one from another adult for a permitted purpose. MaxVFY does not itself perform the underlying document, biometric, liveness, or fraud-analysis technology. A VERIFIED result means the person successfully completed the configured third-party identity-verification process associated with that MaxVFY record. It is not a guarantee of honesty, safety, creditworthiness, legal status, qualifications, licensing, suitability, or future conduct.
Adults only
You must be at least 18 years old to create a MaxVFY account, purchase or complete a MaxVFY identity verification, or be the subject of a MaxVFY verification request. Customers must not knowingly submit requests for minors.
Permitted use
MaxVFY is designed for voluntary adult identity assurance in ordinary person-to-person, marketplace, website/domain/digital-asset, account-ownership, and non-regulated business-counterparty situations. A requester must have a legitimate reason to request verification, accurately describe that purpose, and allow the recipient to decide whether to participate through the MaxVFY invitation process.
Prohibited and high-risk uses
MaxVFY must not be used to make or support decisions involving residential housing or tenancy; employment, hiring, recruiting, promotion, retention, or worker eligibility; credit, lending, debt, insurance, or financial eligibility; consumer reports or background screening; regulated KYC, AML, CIP, sanctions, or similar compliance programs; legal, notarial, court, immigration, estate, power-of-attorney, or other formal legal identity determinations; government benefits or public-service eligibility; healthcare or education eligibility; professional licensing; law-enforcement or investigative activity; or another high-impact eligibility decision.
MaxVFY also must not be used for unlawful discrimination, harassment, stalking, covert surveillance, impersonation, or to represent that a VERIFIED result proves that a person is safe or trustworthy.
Not a consumer report or background check
MaxVFY is not a consumer reporting agency, tenant-screening service, employment-screening service, credit report, background-check service, or regulated KYC/AML compliance product. Customers may not use MaxVFY as a substitute for legally required screening, due diligence, authorization, or compliance procedures.
One-time purchases, subscriptions, and allowances
A one-time self-verification purchase provides access to one verification session for the purchaser. A one-time verification-request purchase provides one request that the requester may send to another adult through the MaxVFY invitation process. Neither one-time option creates a recurring subscription, and neither guarantees a VERIFIED result.
Monthly requester subscriptions renew automatically at the amount and interval shown at checkout until canceled. Included verification requests reset each billing cycle and do not roll over. MaxVFY does not impose automatic verification overage charges.
Starting a new verification session may consume one purchased request or one included monthly verification even if the person does not ultimately receive a VERIFIED result. A continuation or resubmission requested as part of the same verification does not by itself consume another purchased request or monthly verification. Customers are responsible for canceling before the next renewal if they do not want another billing cycle. Taxes may be added where required.
Requester identity and invitations
A requester account may be used by an individual or an organization for a permitted purpose. The requester name or organization shown in an invitation is supplied by the requester and is not, by itself, a MaxVFY verification result or endorsement. Recipients should review the requester, stated reason, and transaction context and decide for themselves whether to continue.
Account closure
An authenticated user may request account closure from the MaxVFY Account page. For a requester account with an active or past-due monthly MaxVFY subscription, the subscription must be successfully canceled before the account is closed. Successful account closure disables sign-in and public verification sharing and scrubs the active profile and direct identifying information from associated MaxVFY verification and review records.
Account closure does not require MaxVFY to erase records that must or reasonably should be retained for security, fraud prevention, audit, payment, accounting, tax, dispute, or legal purposes, and it does not automatically erase records held independently by third-party service providers. Account closure does not itself create a refund. See the Privacy Policy, Identity Privacy Notice, and Refund Policy.
Closed accounts are not designed for restoration. If you later want to use MaxVFY again, you may need to create a new account subject to the service's then-current requirements.
Third-party verification infrastructure
MaxVFY is a facilitation layer. The underlying identity-verification processing is performed by a third-party provider; MaxVFY currently uses Didit for that processing. Use of a provider-hosted verification flow is also subject to the provider notices and end-user terms presented before or during that flow.
Users must not misuse, reverse engineer, interfere with, circumvent usage limits of, or attempt unauthorized access to the underlying provider services; use provider results or data to train or improve AI/ML models without required authorization; or use MaxVFY/provider access to build a competing identity-verification technology or provider service. Customers may not resell direct access to MaxVFY's provider credentials, workflows, free-tier capacity, or infrastructure.
Service availability depends in part on third-party verification, payment, hosting, email, and security providers. MaxVFY may suspend or refuse a verification request or account access for abuse, fraud, prohibited use, legal risk, nonpayment, provider restriction, or security concerns.
Limitations
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided without warranties beyond those expressly stated, and MaxVFY's liability is limited as permitted by applicable law. A verification record should be considered only one identity-assurance signal and should not be the sole basis for a safety, eligibility, legal, financial, housing, or employment decision.
