Cookie Notice

Effective: August 28, 2026

MaxVFY uses a small number of first-party cookies to operate and secure the service and, when the visitor allows analytics, to measure website traffic and conversion. MaxVFY does not use third-party advertising cookies or third-party analytics cookies on maxvfy.com.

Essential MaxVFY session cookie

MAXVFYSESSID is a first-party session cookie used for secure session continuity, account sign-in, and protections such as anti-forgery controls. It is configured as Secure, HttpOnly, and SameSite=Lax and normally expires when the browser session ends.

Because this cookie supports requested security and account functionality, MaxVFY does not use a general opt-in cookie banner for it. Blocking this cookie may prevent sign-in or other secure features from working correctly.

Optional first-party analytics

When you choose Allow analytics, MaxVFY sets a preference cookie named MAXVFYANALYTICS and first-party random identifiers named MAXVFYVID and MAXVFYSID. These identifiers help MaxVFY count unique visitors and sessions, estimate bounce rate, understand landing pages and referral/UTM sources, and connect a consenting visit with a later MaxVFY account registration.

MAXVFYVID can remain for up to one year. MAXVFYSID is a short-lived session measurement cookie and is refreshed for approximately 30 minutes of activity. The identifiers are random and do not contain your name, email address, identity-document data, or verification result.

MaxVFY's own server may also record the IP address, device category, referral host, and approximate country/region/city when that information is available locally from the hosting environment, reverse proxy, or server GeoIP capability. MaxVFY does not send visitor IP addresses to a third-party geolocation API for this feature. Raw analytics IP addresses and user-agent strings are generally cleared after 30 days, and raw analytics sessions/pageviews are generally removed after 12 months.

If you choose Essential only, MaxVFY does not create the optional visitor/session analytics identifiers. The preference itself is remembered so the choice is not repeatedly requested.

Referral attribution

MaxVFY's application can support a first-party referral-attribution cookie named MAXVFYREF when affiliate acquisition is enabled and a visitor follows a qualifying referral link. The cookie can remain for up to 30 days and is used to associate an eligible referral with later account or purchase activity.

New affiliate acquisition is currently paused, so the current public referral flow does not set this cookie. Optional first-party analytics is controlled separately through the website analytics preference described above.

Third-party hosted services

When you choose to continue from MaxVFY to a third-party hosted identity-verification or payment service, that provider may use cookies or similar technologies on its own website or service. Those provider-controlled technologies are governed by the provider's own privacy and cookie practices. MaxVFY currently uses Didit for identity verification and Stripe for payment processing.

Changes to this notice

MaxVFY may update this Cookie Notice if its use of cookies or similar technologies changes. The effective date above will be updated when the notice materially changes.
